I’ve had Avast for about 3 years now and absolutely LOVE it. I’ve been told that AVG (also free) is good too.

you don’t want to do that. what you want to do is download mozilla firefox and don’t use internet explorer. most of the time, that stuff is spyware.

Avast is a great antivirus program. http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
Go to that link and download the free version to try it out. Then, when you get the setup, install the program by just going through the setup.
